We are required by our principal to give a 55 on the report card no matter how low the grade really is. I had a student last year that didn't do any work ever and he had a 14. Well, he got 55s straight across the board. Now they tell us that if a child isn't going to pass the state test, they shouldn't be passing our class either. We are going to end social promotion etc. etc. but we have to inflate the grades even though they are not earned. Confused here...
