Can you discuss this with the principal and/or guidance counselor? Someone needs to know how you feel. You, as a new teacher, need time to work though and solve your own problems. That is how you learn to teach and manage your own class. First, I would tell this assistant that. Stand up for yourself, learn to do it today, because no one else is going to do it for you. Keep the lines of communication open. You need her experience, but in a guided way not a controling way.
