Retirement Party

When our principal retired after 35 years of service we had a staff fish fry at a local restaurant's banquet room. We played a unique version of Jeopardy about his years of service and roasted him with possible (silly) future careers he could try in his golden years.

At school our PTO organized a "Buy A Book"program, where a family could donate $ to buy a new book for our library in honor of him. Inside each book was a label saying, "Thank you for being our principal Mr. ____" Then we had an all school assembly where our oldest grade level presented him with the books on the stage. He was very touched. Good luck w/ your plans!
