art ideas a plenty
By Emma

Clip to ScrapBook
MA, I love art and I love teaching art to children. I would say it is my favourite subject. One of my fave is the chln get a peice of paper and they have to draw three medium sized circles on the page and colour them in black.
The
chln then choose 4 crayon colours that are contrasting, using each colour they trace around each circle before they change colour. eg trace around every circle in red, then every circle in blue, then evey ciricle in green.

Eventually the circles will join up and they have created an optical illusion. They chln continue this activity until they have covered the entire page.

This activity can take a while to complete but when done properly it looks very very effective. Chln cant leave white spaces and each crayon line around the ciricle must be the same size.
