arguing girls By Ingrid

New to this site, but 20+ years teaching K-1. I have finally found something that works for me in 90% of these cases. I tell the children involved that they will sit out, but how long they sit, depends on them. When| they can come to me and tell me they can play as friends, they can get up. I also tell them that I do not want to know what they say to each other, or what agreement they have made, only that they can play as friends. Of course, I seat them within eyesight and it's even more fun if they think I can't hear them, but I can. They can be very creative. Even if they "conspire" to pretend to | | be friends in order to "fool" me, they have actually made an agreement and in these cases have a kind of bond that they see as keeping me in the dark. Good Luck
