summer school By KT

I have done several two week summer sessions with 2-4th graders with various themes. I did "Through the Garden Gate" which revolved around our school garden and science, math,art related activities.
Also, "Over the Rainbow" color related theme with lots of literature with colors in the titles, art and science activities such as creating a color wheel, prisms, poems, wall mural. Last year was "Hooray for the Red, White and Blue" and everything was American related. I followed a basic time line through history, songs,videos and related art and literature activities. The kids enjoyed all of these topics.
