I had to write an entire unit about the Sun intergrating Science and Social Studies. the students learned about the solar system, sun dials, cultures that worship the sun, stonehenge, water cycle, ultraviolet rays, sun safety, solar energy and many other sun topics.
If you are still looking for ideas, our unit was used in a primary classroom of first, second and third graders. Their abilities were widespread, with many advanced learners as well as learning support children. The children had a great time during the 4 weeks.
