The Caring Place

We have a relatively new program in our town called "The Caring Place". It's a place for children who have suffered a loss, whether it's someone close to them or the death of a distant relative that has affected the family.They | have group sessions for the children, for the parents, and for the families together. But they're more focused on "free-play". They have a game room full of typical rec. center type things for kids of all ages so they can just interact and be with people who know what they're feeling. And at the same time they have a lounge where the adults can interact. I haven't had a chance | |
to visit but was part of an informative meeting with one of their staff. A lot of the parents here don't know such a place exists. It may be helpful to Barbara if your town or city has something similar.Just a thought. Bren
