Centers
By Natasha

Clip to ScrapBook
This is just my second year teaching, but centers have gone much smoother this year than last year. I would definitely start getting them into a routine before your observation. I suggest having a chart or a wheel, so they know where they are going each day. I also find very detailed instructions with an example of the work very helpful. I have used puzzles, stepboards, computers, and listening as centers. Another idea is to have a basket of books or file folder games at each center for your "I'm done, now what do I do." students to keep them from disturbing your reading groups. I hope this helps!
