Try this website...it has tons of ideas that you can springboard off of....http://members.aol.donnandlee....keep scrolling until you find ancient Egypt.
2 ideas that
have been a hit in my room have been to make a clay relief map of the Nile River delta with selected sites included and to have students research/report/and make a model/presentation of an Egyptian topic....Mummies, irrigation,King Tut, etc. I brainstorm a list together and then draw names to allow only a few to do each topic. Their presentations can be anything, as long as I have some
written work too, plus a model, diagram, etc of some sort. I give them a rubric as evaluation. This year I even had 2 girls make a dance routine to "king Tut" the old Steve Martin song. Their report was on King Tut. It was fun. Hope this helps.
