quotes
By Cathy

Clip to ScrapBook
As we read a novel together, my kids love when I read quotes from the story and they try to guess who said them. You could have the kids look up characters' quotes and write them on index cards. Then when you have a stack of them, store them in a ziplock baggie with the title of the novel on it. During free time or center time, kids can take turns going through the cards to see who can guess which character said the quote on the card. The student who guesses gets the card. At the end, the student with the most cards wins. This would be a good way to check comprehension. Hope you can use this idea. Cathy
