"Walking in line"

I always walk in the middle and adjust my position to the front and back as needed. To leave either the front or the back unattended leaves too much room for misbehavior However, I've seen teachers that prefer the back and teachers who prefer only the front. I've never seen a book, I think that it's a personal management style choice.
