too much stuff?
By BeaJay

Clip to ScrapBook
You can never have too much stuff! I also use the bulletin board storage box. Mine sits in the corner between the wall and my storage cabinet, practically out of sight. I bought a lot of sets at our local teacher supply
store for $0.95 a couple of years ago. I had no plans for them at the time so I took a week last summer and decided that I would either use them or loose them. I was amazed as I went through them how many of them either picked up themes from my reading stories or would be really good writing prompts for my writing center. So I filed acccording to my stories, then used the smaller pieces
of the sets filed in file folders filed away in the writing center. Some of the larger pieces I cut into puzzles to be used. Since I really did only use 2 or 3 pieces from each set I then set them in the hall for anyone to use. Some of the smaller pieces I put magnet strips on and the kids can arrange them on one of my magnetic boards to write a story or make associations with vocabulary words. It may take some time to organize, but don't toss them out until you have tried. Just remember, they DO NOT have to be used on a bulletin board. Use your imagination and you will find tons of ways to use them. Hope this makes sense. Good luck!
