Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher. I just knew that's what I wanted to do. I ended up getting a degree in another field, but eventually went into teaching and love it! If that's what you think you want to do, I agree with the others - go observe classrooms, volunteer when you can, and talk to new and veteran teachers (as you're doing!). You have to go into teaching for the right reasons to really get the fulfillment out of it. The right reasons being the desire to see children expand their knowledge in many areas. It's a time-consuming job, but when you see kids thriving, it's such an enormous joy.
