update on Barbara

Thank you so much to all of you that responded to my message. You gave me some really great advice and I really appreciate it all. I have already spoken with counselors as well as other teachers in ways to deal with this
situation. I also went to the wake this past Saturday and got some contact information from her foster parent and also other relatives.
I told my other students about Barbara's mother when Barbara was out of the room today because that is what she wanted. They were too very upset and we spent time making cards for her.
As for posting this message to vent, I didn't really know

where else to go. I know there are many teachers who use this site and I thought I could get some insight from you all to help the situation.
