I don't know about the video, but I wish I did! I just finished that novel right before Christmas and it was a HUGE hit! We all learned so much (myself included!). I wanted to do a comparison with a video, so we watched
the old version of "The Diary of Anne Frank" (rented from Blockbuster). It's a black and white movie and very long, but the kids loved it! We even took turns bringing in popcorn to share each day. We compared that movie with Number the Stars novel and it was very educational! (one is fictional, one is real - both are named Anne/Annemarie - one is Jewish, one has a Jewish friend, etc...).
I used the Teacher Created Materials novel guide for Number the Stars, and it was very helpful throughout the book as well. Another suggestion is to ask someone from WWII to visit the classroom (someone stationed in Germany). I absolutely love that book - it's been more educational than any other book I've done so far.
