Not trying to be bearer of bad news
By Judy

Clip to ScrapBook
I have to tell you that I have never used Touch Math in my classes so I can not tell you its success rate. I can tell you that I do not use it because I can still remember my college math professor telling me that it is a terrible crutch to teach the children. He said that it allows them to solve problems without really having any number sense and it causes struggles when they get older. Just passing along his thought. I had forgotten about it until I saw your post. If you are having students that you have tried other modifications with and they still do not get it, anything is worth a try.
