Out of control mom question for Shari
By Colleen

Clip to ScrapBook
I just want to know out of couriosity if the child functions in the class without her?

I have a similar situation in my first grade room
(not as extreme. This kid is a mess and so is the mother. She unpacks his bookbag
for him each morning although parents are not allowed past the office unless they are volunteering. She sneaks past. This allows him to bother the others while they are getting ready to begin the day. I didn't mind at first because we could talk about the problems we both were having with the child. She has not addressed any of my suggestions as of yet. I find that since she doesn't
feel the need to follow the rules he doesn't either which is where the problem is with him. I even close the the door, turn off the lights and not be in the room until I get the kids in the morning but this is not helping. My New Year's Resolution is to cut those apron strings!
