I have used and laminate and then tape to the floor large shapes. You can stand on them, hop on them, walk to them run to them, cover them up and find the shape or get the blank off the shape and the kids have fun. I have used a favorite toy like an elmo go put the elmo on the circle etc. When finished they get some time with elmo. It is fun. When teaching shapes I have shape games, shape necklaces, shape week, shape homework, shape books. My kids learn them and quick . I teach special students as well.
