And that "spare the rod" line?? Methinks you misquoteth. (And by the way, in biblical times, a rod was used to GUIDE sheep, not beat them over the backside with.) I hate when this quote is used to advocate a base way of dealing with unruly children.

Just a question, "How big does your stick need to get before you have adequately 'controlled' your children?"

And to the person who wants to buy a paddle online, I beg of you: Just hang it on the wall. Trust me. They'll get the message.
