You could use David Bouchard's book "If You're Not From the Prairie" and use the pattern to write poetry for other areas of Canada or specific places. This is done after researching some of the major attractions of an area/place.

For example:
If you're not from the Cordillera, you don't know the Cordillera.
You don't the snow, you can't know the snow.
Cold winter nights when the snow glitters bright...

Oops, I forget the rest!?!?!?!?
