My opinion

I know how you feel. My freshmen year in college I got a job on campus working for the University's summer programs for kids(I work there year-round). Now that I'm a senior my classes are getting tougher and I am in an elem.
classroom 2 days a week for my practicum. I was also totally overwhelmed all of the time. My advice to you is to just talk to the parents. Tell them about what you're feeling, etc... It sounds like you like this family, just maybe you've had a little too much of them. That's how I felt with work(I liked it but it was getting to be to much)

Give them the times/days you are available

(a couple days during the week, 1-2 weekend days). Don't let them dictate your schedule. If you've been with them for 3 years they should be understanding and care about your needs. If they don't then they don't deserve someone as dedicated as you.

College is important and overwhelming in itself. Think about what is best for YOU! not them.

Hope this helps and good luck!
