My third grade class has a lot of fun shopping for Christmas gifts. We collect the ads from the Sunday paper and they pick imaginary gifts for anyone they want to buy for. They need to use a credit/debit system because they only get $100. They get to practice subtraction and have some fun fake shopping. For more advanced students, they can figure sales tax.
