Early Morning

I have my Gr3 kids copy their homework assignment as soon as they enter the classroom. While they wait for me to take attendance and sign homework notebooks they begin Self Selected Reading (SSR), followed by a Personal Journal entry (illustration and 3-5 good sentences). This gives my plenty of paperwork time and gets them well underway towards a productive day.
