Don't lose hope yet
By Darcy

Clip to ScrapBook
I really feel badly for what you are going through at your job. There is nothing worse that your peers treating you like dirt. I am not sure exactly what to tell you. I also, SOMEWHAT, feel that everyone should earn their
degree in education before being in the classroom, BUT totally know it is not that degree that makes a teacher. I've had PLENTY of horrible teachers in my day, so a slip of paper can't possible measure your effectivness or devotion to your students. I think if your admistration hired you back for next year, they have faith in your abilities, and you should, too! However, if your think
your continuing teaching there will make you less able to teach well, then I would say try to find something else or go back to get that piece of paper, and I only say that because I think, as teachers, we have to put what is best for the kids first. I think it's just a crying shame the way some teachers act! I can't believe those teachers are doing that to you. Where's the professionalism?

I know it's hard to try to ignore other staff...but I, too, don't think I would be able to "give them what they want". Maybe they are just jealous. I do hope things improve. Let us know!
