Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, I have been teaching 7th & 8th grade science for 8 years. One of my kids favorite activities is making christmas ornament. You need pipe cleaners, borax, fish line, cantainer and hot water. Dissolve the borax in the hot water (super saturated the solution). Have students form a shape out of the pipe cleaners and attach the fine line as a hanger. Submerge the formed pipe cleaner into a container filled with the hot borax solution. The pipe cleaner can not touch the side or bottom. Crystals will form on the pipe cleaner. They look really cool. Your students will love it.
