grading
By Marcy

Clip to ScrapBook
Grading CAN get overwhelming, that's for sure! I believe in giving students feedback also. I only take two grades per subject a week.(elementary) We are on nine week periods so that is plenty of grades, I think. I also let the students check their own work in class. We will go over an assignment and I'll let them give me answers. If there is a wrong answer given, then we can discuss it right then. I don't check journals but every so often. I have them write for content only so I don't correct those. Then if I want them to choose one of their stories to develope, then I will check for grammar, mechanics, etc.

You can't possibly check everything! so don't feel like you have to give EVERYTHING a grade.

Hope this helps
