Wreaths
By Lenore

Clip to ScrapBook
I made these with my K/1 class a few years ago. You will need a metal coat hanger and recycle white plastic shopping bags or garbage bags. Take a metal coat hanger and bend the bottom part into a wreath shape (the hook
will be used to hang the wreath). Cut the bags into strips about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long. You will need lots of strips for each wreath. The students then tie the strips to the coat hanger, pushing them close together so they fill the entire circular part so it looks like a wreath. When they are filled in trim the stray ends so they are all about the same length. You can add a
bow and some small decorations. This takes awhile but it could be a partner activity. I have done them with white bags and green bags but it could be a combination of red, green and white. There are many options. Hope this helps!
