poor quality work
By Suzanne

Clip to ScrapBook
I use a rubric. I always give students a written description of what the project entails, how it will be graded, and I provide a sample of the work and carefully explain it. On the last science project I assigned, two didn't bring in a project at all. Even though I told the kids, in writing, that five-minute projects would receive five-minute grades, they still did sloppy junk.
I just sent home F's for all of those. Hopefully, their parents will get on them to do better.
