I make an ornament for each of the children in my class. I use wooden cut-outs (you can get them at craft stores). For my class I do angels. First, I drill a hole in the top (OK, my dad does that). Then, I paint them white. I add their names and the year with a paint marker and put a ribbon through the hole for a hanger. Last year, I also bought some glitter glue and painted that on the wings. They turn out really cute and are pretty inexpensive to make.
