I have three kids that I have had go through the same school I teach. When I had issues with a teacher I usually met with her and we talked it over. It seems like you did that and she is firm in her ways. That 75% won't| hurt her average in spelling if she continues to do well. As unfair as we all know it is, you could let it go this time. (If you did not speak to the teacher yet I would approach it as she made a mistake calculating the grade.)If she only took 25 points off your child's test and not the others then I would talk to her again if I were you and let it be known that you expect your child | |
to be treated equally. As a teacher, you know you have little time at home to give your child extra help so there is no real advantage. It sometimes seems that my own kids are more neglected than my school students.
