months of the year
By msp

Clip to ScrapBook
Not sure if this is what you were looking for. Awhile back, some other posters on Proteacher shared these poems. I've copied them here for you:

1. Months of the Year Macarana.
You do the dance and say the months of
the year.
These directions are sort of confusing, but just practice it, and they'll make sense. My kids love this.

January - right hand extended straight out, palm down
February - left hand extended straight out, palm down
March - turn right palm up
April - turn left palm up
May - right hand crosses chest to left shoulder
June - left hand crosses chest to right shoulder
July

- right hand behind right ear
August - left hand behind left ear
September - right hand on left front pocket
October - left hand on right front pocket
November - right hand on back right pocket
December - left hand in left back pocket
Then we turn around! Whew! (clap)

2. Months Chant

January, February, March, April, May
the first 5 months are A-OKAY !
June , July, August, September
How many summers can you remember?
Octobr, November, December, the end.
Any month's a good time to make a new friend.

Chant this. Count out first five, make ok sign,
Shrug shoulders for how many, etc.. . .sort of act it out.

3. To the tune of Ten Little Indians

Ending with "and those are the months of the year"
