Christmas gifts

I know that all teachers mean the best for their students. But I don't celebrate Christmas, and I remember growing up and being forced to sing Christmas songs, make ornaments, and do other Christmas activities. My teachers| and many other people don't see or understand that when someone doesn't celebrate a holiday, they really don't want to have anything to do with that holiday. I understand that our society is really based around the December holidays this time of year and that's fine. I just want everyone to understand that giving someone an ornament or a Christmas stocking or something with a Christmas | |
message on it may not be appreciated by all students and/or families. I think a winter gift of a book or something else with no Christmas connection is fine. I don't mean to offend anyone, this is just a personal subject to me.
