u-shape
By sixth grade teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
I've had my class sitting in a u-shape with two rows of 4 inside it because my class is so large. I have an unusually nice group of students who are forever talking. I really like the arrangement as do many other teachers who have dropped in to my room and made positive comments. I feel like it is one whole group now. The students enjoy it too. I admit there is still a lot of talking, but there was a lot of talking in rows and double rows too so I'm going to keep this arrangement for awhile. Finally, because this year is about 1000 times better than last year, I just don't mind the talking as much. Some days it gets to me more than others, but overall it's not the worst thing I've had to deal with.

Happy rearranging!
