I think I agree with Judy. I think I would let it go just to see if it is only going to happen once. You say you haven't had the problem before, so how about giving her the benefit of the doubt. perhaps she was having
a bad day, having a problem at home or something like that. If it happens again, then you could review what you do. Another thing is that you have been told to look out for her and it is much easier to do that if you know about her, but she doesn't know that you know. You will be able to treat her in the same friendly way you always have and not give her any reason to talk about you
again.
I'm sure it was very disappointing for you, but you still have the other aide so at least it is not just the two of you in the room.
I hope things work out whatever you decide.
