If you are looking for another great book (of not as great as HOLES!!!!) to read aloud, I'd recommend ZACH'S LIE by Roland Smith. The night I took it home to read for myself before using it in my classroom, I couldn't stop reading until it was finished!!!!! That doesn't happen too often for a tired teacher at the end of a looooooong day!!!! If you read it (or already have read it), please let me know what you think.
