photocopying
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
Generally school divisions do have agreements done up about how much photocopying can be done from a book. Schools usually have a bit more leeway than private individuals or businesses.

In general you can usually photocopy
up to 25% of a book without running into problems. And you can make copies for your students to use as part of a lesson.
You can usually photocopy whole versions of any book that is no longer being published.

So I think if you make sure you are not doing every illustration you should be fine. Check with your administrator as there should be a write-up of the agreement your school

district has. We actually have a poster up in our school that tells us what we can or cannot copy for the most part.

Of course not everyone follows the rules, but I just worry about whether I am or not.
