On one wall you will probably want to post your safety/lab rules. (this is a lab, right?) You may also want to make a display about the scientific method. Last year I printed off several famous scientists' photos and made word bubbles coming out their mouths with the different steps of the sci. method, titling the board "Think like a Scientist". (The photos were B/W and enlarged.) You could also have a "Science in the News" bulletin board with newspaper clippings or headlines of scientific updates. Also, you can make theme-specific bulletin boards, depending on the unit.
