Hmm... I see it in the halls all the time, so know your pain! It's tough to deal with, even though you know it's normal. It might help to be sure you include some 'social' activities, ie partner/group activities and projects. This way, they'll be talking, etc., but maybe more constructively during instructional time... Also..could use 'chat' time as a reward at the end of the day for work well done.
