After lunch...

I have 1st graders, but they really enjoy our after-lunch "rest time". I shut the lights, turn on relaxing classical music or sounds of a babbling brook, and let them read silently or work on a worksheet for 15 minutes before I read them a story. That usually calms them down after their rough playing on the yard during lunch.
