i know you are a loving parent

I am so sorry that you are struggling right now! I know you are a loving parent. Let me give my 2 cents worth.

My parents told all of us (5 kids) that when we reached adulthood, we would be treated as such. They raised
us to be independent and self-reliant. When I was in a difficult situation with a toddler child, my parents said I could come back for exactly 2 weeks. During that time, I had to get my life in order. I did.

The only reason they let me come back at all was because of my son. That's not harsh, although some may think so.

I believe that as long as you are willing to help clean up someone

else's messes, they will continue to let you. Perhaps it's time to say "I love you, but I am done."

I have friends whose parents still help support them. These are the people who don't learn how to budget. They will quit their job on a whim. They don't appreciate what they have. They have no goals or self-motivation.

Anyway, that's my thoughts. Good luck on this tough situation. Whatever you do will be right!
