I also read 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving to my class each year at Thanksigiving. After reading the book last year, I had my class come up with reasons why people should eat ham instead of turkey for Thanksgiving. The students then voted on their favorite 10 reasons and we turned this into a huge hall display. We titled it "The Top 10 Reasons to eat Ham This Thanksgiving." Two of my students who were great artist drew the funniest picture of a turkey with a pig on a leash. It was absolutely hilarious...I will always remeber this activity as one of my favorites! We received lots of compliments on the display.
