Thought you might find something here. I am doing a unit on colonial America with my third graders as well. Hope this helps with your unit.

I started out with different groups of Indians to present in groups.(I got the

idea on the S.S, board). I have a lot of Kate Walters's books that I am going to share and do a pictionary from the words in that. We are going to make horn books and quill pens to "write" our lessons. We are going to have a feast(with homemade butter). I got a lot of ideas here on the boards.
