I believe the actual words from the book are:1st page:Today is Monday. Monday's Green beans.
2nd page: Today is Tuesday. Tuesday's spaghetti. MOnday's green beans.
3rd page: Today is Wednesday. Wednesday's ZOOP,Tuesday's spaghetti, Monday's green beans.
(The pattern continues for the rest of the week:
Thursday's roast beef, Friday's fresh fish, Saturday's chicken, Sunday's ice cream.)Last page: All you hungry children, come and eat it up. You sing the song starting from Monday:
Verse 1:
Today is Monday. Today is Monday. Monday's green beans. All you hungry children, come | |
& eat it up, come and it up.
Verse 2:
Today is Tuesday, Today is Tuesday. Tuesday's spaghetti, Monday's green beans. All you hungry children, come & eat it up, come & eat it up.
Verses continue in this manner.If you check out the book, at the end is the actual music for the song and all the verses are listed. My 6 year olds LOVE it; we have added this song to our "days of the week" repertoire.
