I have also been saddened by the vindictiveness of many of the responses. The "Vent" should be just that--a place where people can feel free to vent. Just as we want our classrooms to be places where varying viewpoints are not only accepted, but encouraged--so should this site be a "safe place" to express opinions. Let's not attack each other just because we don't all think alike.PS: As far as the attacks on grammar and spelling--I generally do try to proofread my posts--but despite that frequently notice "mistakes" after I have already posted and it's too late to correct. As I point out to my students--none of us are perfect. Let's accept the "imperfections" in each other.
