Sounds like there is a lot of politics in Tennessee. Just curious, how young are these girls they hire from other states? I'm 27. Thats still young to me. I live in Texas, and from what I hear they are always hiring teachers.
The thing about Texas is that they have changed the elementary education program. You can now do early childhood which is pre-k through 4th grade, or you can do 4th through 8th and specialize in something like history, language arts, ect. Thats the information I got from my college. Anyway, right now I am doing early childhood, but I'm kind of questing that. I really want to teach
like 2nd-4th graders. I wouldn't want to teach pre-k or Kindergarten. But I guess doing the early childhood would fit since I do want to teach 2nd grade and higher. I subbed in a pre-k classroom and it was horrible. It made me really grateful that I'm not a mom yet. Those kids are so much work. I'm definitely planning on doing some sub work in the public school once I get enough hours.
