One more thing to keep in mind - You'll be passing this child along to first grade one day. It would be a kindness for you to research what your district, city or state has in the way of gifted education for students like this one. That way you can give her parents some information on what is available for their child should she need something other than the traditional classroom setting in the future. While parents can do this kind of research themselves, it's often easier for teachers to get their hands on the information.
