Chance Box
By Desiree

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Kate!
Last year I taught K and this year I received a job teaching 5th. I can relate to your question. I use a Chance Box (shoe box colorfully decorated or wrapped in wrapping paper..with the lid on and a slit at the
top)I have tickets that the children can receive each day for good behavior, good listening, answering a tough question correctly, homework completed..etc..each time they do these things they get a "chance ticket" to put their name on. It goes into the Chance Box and at the end of the week I pick (without looking)5-6 names. These children will receive a small prize ($ store stuff, candy,
No homework coupon, Free time coupon..) They love it and can't wait till Friday. To include everyone, I will give candy to those who didn't get chosen. It works very well. Good Luck!
