I'm glad I'm not alone with my negative thoughts on alternative assessment. It takes far too much of my time and NOBODY benefits from it - I get far too stressed out and spend so many hours on it that I feel I'm not doing other things that would benefit my students, the students don't gain anything more from it, if anything less since it takes away from other areas more important to there own needs, the parents don't benefit- if they even bother to read the results all they see most likely is that their child failed, and the school district does not benefit because these scores bring down the district's overall score. So, tell me, why are we doing this???.
