Kindergarten

Well, I have tried explaining the curriculm to my dad and all what Kindergarten teachers do. He just doesn't get it. He just doesn't think its "real" work. He thought the same when I taught in a preschool program during college.| Then, I was teaching 3 and 4year olds, but preschool is still very important. One thing is that my dad really doesn't like young children. Since I'm a student teacher, I don't feel comfortable having him come in. But once I get my own classroom, I'm going to have him come in and see what it is like. In my area where I am student teaching and where I'll be applying for jobs, most | |
schools now have a full day Kindergarten. Another thing, is its not all about me being a Kindergarten teacher. He's just a very negative person, and is pretty much jeaulous of people who have college degrees. Out of my entire family, he and my stepmother are the only ones who don't have a college degree.
